Fermat's Room (2007)

A group of mathematicians get locked in a room and then told to solve a series of riddles and mathematical problems if they're to ever get out again, but what of the deeper enigma of why they were chosen in the first place?
The story never really makes it clear who we should be sympathising with, even after we learn who it is we’re supposed to hate. The problem is that none of the characters are particularly well-fleshed out, nor are they very likeable. Despite that, some of the performances are good and the situation is tense enough to keep the viewer glued to the end.
