The Wicker Man (1973)

A police sergeant travels to a remote island to investigate the disappearance of a young girl, but the locals hinder his efforts at every turn.
The Wicker Man has singing, dancing, tits, Christopher Lee in a wig and summer dress and a happy ending to make you smile. I suspect I'll stand alone when I say it's perhaps the most unique British film ever made, and both Christopher Lee and Edward Woodward's finest moment. It’s been described as "The Citizen Kane of Horror Movies," and while that means absolutely nothing in real terms (I don’t even consider it a horror film), it's undeniably atypical and for that should be applauded even if you hate it.
Subsequent viewings reveal hidden subtleties. Seek out the restored longer cut for fifteen minutes of extra pagan joy.
